Working with us

Account Management

  • Every client is assigned an Account Manager who will be the contact for both temporary and permanent recruitment at all levels. We feel this provides the opportunity to build a strong relationship and understanding of the business. It ensures that our clients do not have to explain their business needs again and again to different consultants.
  • We endeavour to listen, learn and understand as much as possible about each client’s business, company culture, ethos, recruitment procedures etc before commencing the recruitment process.
  • We use the parameters given by you to select a short list of suitable candidates that fulfil the criteria of both technical and soft skills.
  • We can provide advice and guidance regarding the current candidate market, salary expectations and available skill sets.
  • Provide continued post placement relationships to ensure the candidates have settled and to keep you informed of any changes within the job market.

Candidate Management & Sourcing

  • We source our candidates through a variety of methods – online job boards, candidate databases, networking, targeted mail-outs and most importantly by recommendation.
  • Each of our candidates is interviewed by one of our consultants, who will be their main contact at City Associates; this enables our consultants to build strong relationships with candidates. They will get to know the candidate’s personality, career aspirations, strengths, weaknesses, and working preferences.
  • As some candidates find it difficult or awkward to speak during office hours, we provide an evening contact number and are always happy to arrange out of hours interviews with our consultants.
  • We never pressure our candidates into being submitted for a vacancy. We allow them time to review the job description, company information and website, and make an informed decision. This ensures we have virtually no interview dropouts.
  • We keep our clients informed of the candidate’s status and interest throughout the recruitment process.
  • We ensure candidates are fully briefed before attending interview and provide feedback to candidates promptly.
  • We listen to feedback from both successful and unsuccessful applications, and use this information to hone our selection procedures for future recruitment assignments.
  • We believe that understanding candidates is a key part of ensuring a successful recruitment process every time.

Legislation

  • We operate under the Conduct of Employment Agencies & Employment Businesses Regulations (EAA Regulations) 2003. We are fully conversant and keep up to date with current legislation regarding the recruitment industry and general employment, such as age legislation, preventing illegal working, and disciplinary and grievance procedures.
  • We are members of the REC and adhere to their Good Code of Conduct. This means that we operate to the highest ethical and professional standards.
